Transfiguration Chapel of Caleruega

Transfiguration Chapel of Caleruega
The Transfiguration Chapel of Caleruega is one of the chapels that we visited this Good Friday when we headed for Tagaytay. Not really within Tagaytay City, Caleruega is located in the fringes of Nasugbu, Batangas which is near enough Tagaytay that it shares a bit of the cool air the city is famous for.

Caleruega is a sprawling compound populated with several buildings and getting to the Transfiguration Chapel is quite a walk. On the way there, you may pass by  the Way of the Cross, the Koi Pond, a plant nursery, and even the Garden Cafe. The walk is long as it is steep. Once I reached the chapel though, I quickly decided that it was worth it.

Caleruega lives up to its reputation as one of the most solemn and scenic places of worship in the Philippines. No wonder it is among the most popular chapels for weddings in the country.

Address:
Barangay Kaylaway, Batulao, Nasugbu, Batangas
